Miss Marilyn Honigford Married To Daniel Walsh
Miss Marilyn R. Honigford, daughter of Clem Honigford, Rt. 3, Ft. Jennings, and the late Mrs. Honigford,
became the bride of Daniel L. Walsh, Lima, in an impressive ceremony April 23. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Walsh. 1004 N.
West, are parents of the bridegroom.
The double ring service and nuptial mass was celebrated 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
Ottoville by Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor, against a background of white gladioli and foliage. Miss Mary
Catherine Heckman was organist and James Walsh the vocalist.
The bride was attractively gowned in lace and nylon tulle designed with rounded neckline trimmed with
sequins, the full floor length skirt worn over net and taffeta underslips. Her shoulder veil of illusion was attached to
a sequin coronet, and she carried white flowers.
Miss Betty Honigford was her sister's maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Eugene Fuerst, another
sister, and Miss Patty Honigford, a cousin. Their light blue nylon dresses were trimmed with lace and were worn
over taffeta, made with rounded necklines and empire waists. They had matching veils and carried colonial
bouquets in harmonizing shades.
Serving his brother as best man was Larry Walsh, while ushers were Dick Walsh and Jerry Honigford,
brothers of the couple.
For her son's wedding Mrs. Walsh selected a blue printed frock and her flowers were white carnations.
A dinner in the parish hall was followed by a reception there for 309 guests. The traditional tiered wedding
cake centered the bride's table.
When Mr. Walsh and his bride left for an eastern trip the latter had changed to a light blue suit, and wore the
corsage from her bouquet. Their future address ill be 223 N. Metcalf.
The bride was graduated from Ottoville High School and is employed at the J. J. Miller Co., while Mr. Walsh is
employed at St. Gerard's School from where was graduated. He spent two years on Army duty

Bendele-Ricker Wedding Takes Place In Ottoville
Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Dorothy Theresa Bendele and Eugene Franklin Ricker, April 30 in
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rt. Rev J. F. Frommherz was celebrant of the 9:30 a.m. nuptial
mass against a background of pink snapdragons, white stock and greenery.
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Bendele, Rt. 1. Grover Hill, are parents of the bride, and the bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Ricker, Sr.. Rt. 1, Ft. Jennings.
Miss Mary Catherine Heckman was organist, and the church choir sang the mass.
The bride was lovely in her gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle with underskirts of taffeta. Pearls and
iridescents enriched the Sabrina neckline, and the long clinging sleeves had the traditional points over the wrists.
A cascade of hand-clipped lace and tulle ruffles separated front and back by wide panels, and the extremely wide
skirt fell to the floor over a six tiered hoop. The bride's veil was the one worn by her sister. Mrs. Gephard Gasser.
Jr., and was fingertip length attached to a pearl coronet. Her cascade bouquet was red and white camellias with
ivy.
Miss Geraldine Bendele the maid of honor and the bridesmaids Miss Vera Ricker, sisters of the couple, and
Miss Carol Calvelage, cousin of the bride wore gowns of pure silk organza in spring blossom green. The
becoming necklines were shirred. The bouffant skirts worn over crinolines were accented in back with organza
streamers and rose petals. They all wore hats of green with pearl studded veiling, and carried crescent
arrangements of pink and white camellias with ivy. Their necklaces and earings were gifts of the bride.
Mrs. Robert Miller, soloist, has as her offertory and closing selections "Ave Maria," and "Mother. At Thy Feet
We're Kneeling".
A poudre blue frock was selected by Mrs. Bendele for her daughter's wedding, while the bridegroom's mother
was dressed in light blue. Their corsages were camellias.
The bridegroom's brother Charles Ricker attended him, and ushers were Sigmund Ricker, Jr. and Ralph Gasser,
Jr.
Dinner in the parish hall for 60 guests was followed by a reception for 250 guests in the hall during the
afternoon and evening.
When Mr. Ricker and his bride left for a trip to Niagara Falls changed to a light blue and white ensemble and
wore the corsage from her bridal bouquet. They will reside on Rt. 2. Ft. Jennings. The bride is a linotype operator
for the Delphos Printing and Publishing Co., and the bridegroom is employed by the Lennox Tool Co., Lima. He is
an alumnus of Ft. Jennings High School and the bride was graduated from Grover Hill High School.

Miss Schlagbaum Is Bride Of Paul Beining
Miss Anne Marie Schlagbaum became the bride of Paul Patrick Beining Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Ottoville
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz performed the double ring ceremony followed
by the nuptial mass.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schlagbaum of Rt. 2 Ft. Jennings and Mr. Beining is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Beining, Rt. 3 Ft. Jennings.
Pink gladioli and carnations decorated the church and the prenuptial music was by Mrs. Norma Hilvers,
soloist, and Miss Mary Catherine Heckman, organist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white nylon styled with Chantilly lace
trim on the skirt, neckline and three quarter length sleeves accented with sequins and seed pearls. Her fingertip
veil of bridal illusion was attached to a cap of pearl orange blossoms.
She carried a bouquet of American beauty roses, orange blossoms and ivy and a white rosary. Her jewelry
was pearl earings, gift of the bridegroom.
The bridesmaids Mrs. Dorothy Rode and Mrs. Paul Honigford, and matron of honor, Mrs. Gerald Fischbach,
sister of the bride, wore street length dresses of willow green dacron and cotton blend, fashioned with round neck
lines, short sleeves, pleated cummerbunds and bouffant skirts. Their headbands were of green velvet leaves and
their white shoes were accented with American beauty rose clips. Jane Fischbach, niece to the bride, was flower
girl. She was dressed similar to the bridesmaids.
The attendant's crescent shaped bouquets were of American beauty and white cream roses with orange
blossoms. They wore broachs and earrings of pink and white stones and carried initialed linen handkerchiefs,
gifts of the bride.
Mr. Beining selected his brother, Robert, to serve as best man. Ushers were Paul Schlagbaum and Donald
Beining, brothers of the couple.
Mothers of the couple wore beige dresses with black accessories and corsages of ceris roses.
A luncheon was held in the Ottoville Parish Hall followed by a reception for 300 guests. Out o town guests
were from Columbus Dayton, Ft. Wayne, Maryland Michigan, Findlay, St. Henry, Celina, Columbus Grove, Lima,
Delphos, Van Wert, Ottawa, Kalida and Glandorf.
For a northern honeymoon, the new Mrs. Beining changed to a lavender dress with which she combined
white accessories and wore a corsage of yellow roses
The bride is a graduate of Ottoville High School and is employed by Ottoville Bank Company.
Mr. Beining, also an Ottoville High School graduate, received his bachelor of science degree from Ohio
Northern University and is employed by the American Agriculturan Chemical Co., in Cairo.

Dickman-Horstman Vows Solemnized Saturday
The wedding of Miss Patricia Ann Dickman daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Dickman, and Ralph Louis
Horstman, son of Bernard C. Horstman and the late Mrs. Horstman, all of Ottoville, took place Saturday. The vows
were received by Rt. Rev, J. F. Fromherz. pastor, at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Ottoville. Rose gladioli and carnations decorated the altar for the nuptial mass. Miss Mary Catherine Heckman
was organist and Mrs. Robert Miller the vocalist.
The bride's floor length gown of Chantilly lace w a s fashioned with delicately embroidered scoop neckline of
sequins and pearls. The fitted bodice was pointed and the tulle and lace skirt was enhanced with a cascade of
back ruffles ending in a brush train. Her veil of illusion was attached to an all lace queens crown outlined with
pearls and sequins. The bride carried a crescent bouquet of pink and white rosebuds with ribbon shower and a
crystal rosary, gift of the bridegroom.
Miss Mary Ann Wehri was the maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Viola Dickman, sister of the
bride, and Mrs. Paul Bigelow. The attendants wore white organza gowns in ballerina length with turquoise bow
trim. The empire waistline had bands of turquoise and the full circular skirts over crinolines had a bias fold of
turquoise organza They wore matching head bandeaus and their jewelry were gifts from the bride. They also
carried colonial arrangements of white carnations. Yellow roses and lilies of the valley.
Donald Miller, Ottoville, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Joe Horstman, the bridegroom's
nephew and Paul Bigelow.
A Copenhagen blue frock was selected by the bride's mother for the wedding. She wore white accessories
and gardenias.
A dinner was served, in the parish hall for 50 guests and in the afternoon 350 guests were received there by
the bridal party.
A white linen jacket dress was selected by the bride for graveling in the western states. They will reside in
Ottoville on their return.
Both bride and bridegroom are graduates of Ottoville High School, and the latter is employed at the Neon
Products Co., Lima, while the bride is employed at Conrad's Truck Stop, Van Wert.

Miss Koester And Joseph Sanders Are Wed
The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville provided the setting for the May 14 ceremony uniting
Miss Eileen Koester and Joseph A. Sanders in marriage.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Clare Koester of Rt. 2, Ft. Jennings and Mr. Sanders is the son of Mrs.
Joseph Sanders of Ottoville.
Pre-nuptial music was by Miss Mary Catharine Heckman and soloist, Mrs. Louise Miller. Rev. J. F. Frommherz
performed the double ring ceremony. Pink gladoli were used to decorate the church.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Roman Koester, wore a gown of crystal white embroidered nylon
organza taffeta fashioned with a scalloped neckline and floor length tiered skirt. Her fingertip length veil was
attached to a crown studded with sequins and pearls and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and roses. Her
jewelry was a pearl necklace and earrings, gifts of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Donald Friemoth, twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Misses Doris Ann Deitering and Jean
Schimmoeller were bridesmaids. They wore floor length mint green dresses of crystallette over taffeta and carried
bouquets of rose carnations surrounded by roses. Their pearl necklaces and earrings were gifts of the bride.
Miss Darlene Burgei, niece of the bride was miniature bride. She wore a white nylon and net dress trimmed in
satin and carried a small bouquet similar to the bride's. Her jewelry, a cross and chain, was presented to her by
the bride.
The bride's brother-in-law, Donald Friemoth, was best man and ushers were Clarence Koester and Les
Wannamacher, Donald Rampe, nephew of the bridegroom was ringbearer.
Mothers of the couple received the wedding guests in light blue dresses and wore white carnation corsages.
The bridal dinner held in Ottoville Parish Hall was followed by a reception there at 2:30 in the afternoon.
The new Mrs. Sanders is a graduate of Ottoville High School and is employed at Ex-Cell-0 in Lima.
Mr. Sanders, also an Ottoville High School graduate, is employed at Superior Coach.
When the couple left for a honeymoon in Florida the bride changed to a beige dress and wore the orchid
corsage from her bouquet. They are now residing at Ottoville.

Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Arline Ricker and Robert A. Kortokrax May 7 in Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor as celebrant of the 8:30 a.m. nuptial
mass.
Mr. and Mrs. John H. Ricker, Rt. 1, Cloverdale are parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Kortokrax, Rt. 3, Delphos. Miss Mary Catherine Heckman was organist and Mrs. Robert Miller
had as her vocal selections "Panis Angelicas” "Ave Maria'" and the closing hymn "On This Day O Beautiful
Mother."
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was lovely as she approached the altar wearing a gown
of white embroidered tulle. The fitted bodice was styled with oval scalloped neckline, and the sleeves were short.
A V waistline was enhanced with extremely full floor length skirt worn over crinolines ending with a chapel train. A
pearl and sequin studded queen's crown held the doubled tiered illusion veil, and she carried her First
Communion prayer book topped with an orchid.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Rita Langhals, Cloverdale: Miss Jane Pohlman, Delphos, and
Miss Janice Horstman, junior bridesmaid. They selected identical ballerina length gowns of lavender nylon sheer
fashioned with fitted bodices featuring portrait necklines accented with white sheer rosettes. The very full skirts
worn over crinolines were ballerina length, and they wore matching silk plateaus with circular veils, and carried
sheaf designed bouquets of white glamellias.
Best man for his brother was Karl Kortokrax, and seating the guests were John Ricker, Jr.. and Frank Meyer,
Spencerville.
Mrs. Ricker selected for her daughter's wedding a beige brocaded sheath with patent accessories, and the
bridegroom's mother had a green linen jacket frock with which she combined beige accessories. Their corsages
were orchids. The grandmother: Mrs. Ctetus Horstman, Mrs. Oscar Hempfling. Mrs. Henry Utrup and Mrs.
Lawrence Ricker wore pastel ensembles and carnation corsages.
Dinner for the immediate families was served in the Ottoville VFW hall, and a reception for 450 guests was
held on the Ottoville parish hall in the afternoon and evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Kortokrax are residing at 422 S. Canal in Delphos following a several weeks western trip. The
bride changed to a white camel suit for traveling. She is a graduate of Ottoville High School and the bridegroom
from Delphos St. Johns High School and is employed by the Ford Motor Co., Lima. The bride is secretary for the
Delphos Grain and Soya Products Co.

Miss Patricia Louise Odenweller and Thomas C. Weger, Jr. exchanged wedding vows Saturday at 10 a.m. in
the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville.
The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Odenweller of Ottoville and Mr. Weger is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Weger, Sr., Delphos.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor, officiated for the double ring ceremony and the nuptial mass was sung by
the adult choir.
Miss Mary Catherine Heckman provided the prenuptial organ selections and accompanied Mrs. Robert Miller
as she sang, "Ave Maria".
The altar was decorated with seasonal arrangements of white gladioli and blue majestic daisies.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a tiered floor length gown of embroidered nylon and
tulle styled with a sasrina neckline trimmed with luxurious filegree work and shirred sleeves. Her bouffant skirt
formed a chapel length train. A pearl and sequin studded queen's crown held her four tiered waist length veil of
imported silk illusion made by her mother. She carried a bouquet of Frenched white carnations, stephanotis and
ivy tied with satin streamers atop a prayer book, gift from her first grade students.
Mrs. Arnold Rode was her sister's matron of honor and bridesmaids were two other sisters, Misses Marcia
and Joan Odenweller, Miss Leann Weger, sister of the bridegroom and Miss Marguerite Vango, a college
classmate.
The attendants selected dress of blue embroidery over white sheet organza. The fitted bodice, were
fashioned with scoop neck lines and a cummerbund of taffeta ending in streamers that extended down the back
accented the embroidery trimmed bouffant skirts. They carried colonial nosegays in shades of blue delphinium
and white carnations and wore blue crystal jewelry, gift of the bride.
Merlin Grothouse attended to the duties of best man and seating the guests were Arnold Rode, Robert Weger
and Thomas Gordon.
A dinner in the Ottoville Parish Hall was followed by an afternoon reception there.
The bride's mother wore an orchid trimmed white linen sheath dress with harmonizing accessories and a
corsage of purple asters. Mrs. Weger selected a dress of beige lace over pale green taffeta and matching
accessories. She wore a rose carnation corsage.
When the couple left for a trip through northern Michigan the new bride was wearing a pink embroidery cotton
dress with matching accessories and the corsage from her bridal bouquet. The couple will make their home on
Carolyn Drive in Delphos.
Out of town wedding guests were from Delphos, Lima, Cincinnati and Van Wert. The new Mrs. Weger is a
graduate of Ottoville High School and Mary Manse College at Toledo. She is a teacher in the Ft. Jennings School
System.
Mr. Weger, a graduate of Delphos St. John's High School, is employed at Ford Motor Company in Lima.

Stokes-Schnipke Vows Held In Ottoville
Marriage vows were exchanged July 13 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville ny Miss Mary
Ann Stokes and Thomas J. Schnipke. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Stokes, Ottoville, are parents of the bride and the
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schnipke, Kalida, and the late Mr. Schnipke.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor, was celebrant of the nuptial mass and Miss Mary Catherine Heckman was
organist Arrangements of white gladioli and pink astors were used at the altar.
The bride's gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta had iridescent sequin and pearl ornamentation at the sabrina
neckline, lace bodice and bouffant skirt featuring alternating panels of lace and pleated nylon tulle. Her veil of
bridal illusion fell from an open crown trimmed with pearls and she carried a white prayerbook with cluster of white
roses.
Miss Lucille Burgei niece of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Don
Schimmoeller, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Karen Fortener. All wore identical gowns of light blue organza
"with cummerbunds of the same shade forming a large back bow with streamers reaching to the hemlines. They
wore petal headpieces and earned arrangements of pink astors. Their gold crosses were gifts of the bride.
James Stokes attended to the duties of best man, and seating guests were Barry Stokes and Donald Schnipke,
brothers of the couple.
A white organza frock embroidered in gray was selected by the bride's mother. Her corsage was pink asters.
The bridegroom's mother selected a light blue frock and also had pink asters.
Breakfast in the parish hall was served to 75 guests and an afternoon reception was held there for 350 guests,
after which Mr. Schnipke and his bride left for a two weeks northern trip. They are making their home in Kalida.
The bride, an Ottoville High School alumna, is employed at Maag's Market in Ottoville, while the bridegroom
was graduated from Kalida High School and is employed at the Sylvania Electric Co., Ottawa, following two years
Army duty.

Pohlman-Ricker Vows Exchanged
St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos, was the scene of the candlelight wedding August 13 uniting Miss Jane
Marie Pohlman and John Anthony Ricker. She is the daughter of Mrs. Adeline Pohlman, Rt. 3, Delphos, and the
late Alphonse Pohlman. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Ricker of Rt. 1, Cloverdale.
For the double ring ceremony which was read at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Thomas W. Kuhn, the Church was
decorated with seasonal flowers.
Charles Gedert, organist, provided traditional wedding music and the children's choir sang.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Melvin, wore a gown of delicately embroidered tulle over
whispering taffeta. The floor length dress was traditional white and featured a basque bodice with long sleeves,
which came to a point over the wrists. The shoulders were edged with an embroidered motif, which was repeated
on the very full skirt that parted in front to reveal cascades of ruffles from the waist to the hemline.
Her fingertip veil was caught to a Chantilly lace tiara trimmed with tiny ruching and pearls. She carried a crystal
rosary, a gift from the groom, and her flowers were pink roses centered with white orchids and showered with
white streamers in which pink rosebuds had been tied.
Rita Pohlman served as her sister's maid of honor. Mrs. Robert Kort, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Irma
Dickrede and Miss Carol Spieles, were other attendants. All wore frocks identically styled of white nylon organza,
with orchid bow knots. A bias band of orchid trimmed the full ballerina length skirts while large butterfly bows and
streamers added back interests to the dresses.
They wore small matching veils accented with tiny bows and dots of chenille. Their pearl earrings were gifts
from the bride and they carried bouquets of white carnations and orchid mums.
Mrs. Pohlman chose a dress of aque and white nylon over white satin for her daughters wedding. Her hat was
of variegated blue feathers and her other accessories were white.
The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a pastel green pleated Dacron dress with a beige hat, and other
accessories of black. Both mothers wore corsages of pink carnations.
Mrs. Louis Ricker, the bridegroom’s grandmother, wore an orchid and white dress with white accessories and
a corsage of white carnations.
A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony in the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Bernard Looser of Ottoville.
Luncheon was served in the Knights of Columbus Hall for members of the immediate families.
The newly married couple planned to tour the eastern states for two weeks. When they left the bride was
wearing a white sheath dress with lavender accessories and a white orchid corsage.
The former Miss Pohlman is a graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and is employed at the Delphos
Printing and Publishing Co.
Her husband is a graduate of Ottoville High School, has spent two years with the US Army and is employed at
the National Seal Co., in Van Wert. The couple will live in Ottoville.

Miss Jane Siebeneck Married Saturday Morning
An impressive ceremony solemnized Saturday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, united in
marriage Miss Jane Siebeneck to Ronald L. Pothast. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Siebeneck, Rt. 1, Cloverdale are parents
of the bride, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Pothast, Delphos. Large bouquets of mums
decorated the altar for the 9 a.m. nuptial mass celebrated by the Rev. Herman Fortman. Miss Mary Catherine
Heckman was organist
The bride was lovely in her nylon tulle and Chantilly lace floor length gown as she approached the altar with
her father who gave her in marriage. The fitted bodice featured a sabrina neckline with sequins and lace, and the
sleeves were long and pointed over the wrists. The bouffant skirt worn over hoops had bands of scalloped lace,
and her illusion veil was attached to a half-hat trimmed with pearls. She wore pearl jewelry, and carried velvet red
roses.
Miss Dorothy Langhals was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Velma Warnimont, Miss Jean
Kleman and Miss Sharon Siebeneck. They wore identical gowns of nylon chiffon in shrimp and blue. The fitted
bodices had softly draped necklines and the ballerina skirts were embroidered in flowers above the wide hemlines
and were worn over crinolines. All wore circular veils with shirred headbands trimmed with pearls, and
carried white carnations. Their white gloves and necklaces were gifts of the bride.
The best man was Paul Metzger and seating guests were Larry Maag and Tom Pohlman.
A blue lace frock with white accessories was worn by the bride's mother, while the bridegroom's mother was
dressed in beige silk with green accessories. Their corsages were white roses.
Two hundred guests were invited to the reception held in the Ottoville VFW Hall. When the couple left for an
eastern trip the bride had changed to a royal blue cotton arnel sheath with white accessories and wore white
roses.
Their future address will be 526 W. Cleveland, in Delphos. The bride, a graduate of Ottoville High School is
employed at the DWG Co. The bridegroom, an alumnus of Delphos St. Johns High School, spent four years in the
Navy, and is a steam engineer with the Delphos Grain and Soya Products Co.

Miss Plescher Is Saturday Bride
Immaculate Conception Church in Ottoville was the setting for the Saturday wedding of Miss Joan Marlene
Plescher and Daniel G. Hartnett Jr. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Plescher of Ottoville and Mr.
and Mrs. Daniel G. Hartnett Sr. of Norwalk, are parents of the bridegroom.
Preceding the 11 a.m. double ring ceremony read by Msgr. J. F. Frommherz, traditional wedding music was
provided by Dr. J. Robert Carroll, organist and soloist. Bouquets of bronze chrysanthemums banked by yellow
daises and pompoms decorated the alter for the occasion.
The bride was lovely in a gown of silk organza styled with a Sabrina neckline in the fitted bodice and shirred
short sleeves. Alencon lace formed an apron effect on the front of the skirt and the back was topped by silk
organza roses forming a bustle and fell into a chapel train. Her short bouffant veil was held by a cap of silk
organza and Alencon lace and she wore short white gloves. Her was formed of white orchids surrounded by
stephanotis with dark green magnolia leaves.
Mrs. James Knippen was her sister's matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Metzger of Toledo, a
former roommate of the bride, and Miss Madonna Miller of Cincinnati, a cousin of the bride. They wore gored
frocks of turquoise taffeta with matching headpieces and sun veils. Their bouquets were styled like the bride's and
were of yellow daisies and bronze chrysanthemums accented with leaves.
Thomas Hartnett, brother of the bridegroom, attended the duties of best man, and ushers were Thomas Nachazel,
former roommate of the bridegroom, Ronald Westerman, John Plescher, brother of the bride, and James Knippen,
brother-in-law of the bride.
The bride's mother chose a sheath of sapphire blue silk with beige accessories and Mrs. Hartnett wore a light
blue lace dress with matching accessories. Both of the mothers wore orchid corsages.
Following the wedding a reception was held in Memorial Hall at Ft. Jennings.
For her going away ensemble the bride chose a light wool camel suit dress with contrasting brown
accessories and a corsage of yellow daisies and bronze chrysanthemums.
The new Mrs. Hartnett is a graduate of St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo and her husband
attended the University of Detroit. He is presently a junior in the college of dentistry, Marquette University, in
Milwaukee, Wis., where the couple will reside.

Wedding Solemnized In Ottoville Church
In an attractive wedding ceremony celebrated Saturday Miss Darlene Hoehn became the bride James Lause,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lause, Delphos. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hoehn, Ottoville, are parents of the bride.
The nuptial mass was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville by Rt. Rev. J. F.
Frommherz, pastor at 9:30 a.m. Miss Mary Cathrine Heckman was organist, and vocalists were Mrs. Sylvester
Odenweller and Miss Joyce Odenweller. White gladioli and mums combined with greenery were used at the main
altar.
The bride's floor length gown of silk organza was designed with scooped neckline trimmed with iridescents
and pearls. Alencon lace formed an apron effect on the full skirt, and her imported veil of illusion was attached to
a crown of sequins. She wore short white gloves and carried pink and white roses, orange blossoms and
stephanotis in a Hogarth arrangement.
Miss Alice Hoehn was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Karen Fortener and Miss Virginia Spicer.
Their identical owns of taffeta in rose color were made alike, and all wore matching headpieces with short veils.
Their white gloves and earings were gifts of the bride, and they carried American Beauty roses and stephanotis.
The bridegroom's brother, Louis Lause, was best man, and seating guests were Alan Lause, Thomas Hoehn,
Ronald Kunz, and Richard Moenter.
Three hundred guests were invited to the reception in the Ottoville parish hall. The mother if the bride
received their guests in a beige brocaded sheath and the bridegroom’s mother was dressed in an copen blue
jersey. Their corsages were roses.
The green cotton sheath was selected by the bride for their trip to Michigan and Canada. They will make their
home at 610 E. Third, in Delphos. The bride a graduate of Ottoville High School is with the Putnam County
Engineers Office in Ottawa. The bridegroom was graduated from Delphos St. Johns High School and attended
Purdue University. He is employed by National Seal, Van Wert.

Miss Arlene Kroeger Is Wed Sept. 5
Wearing a gown of Chantilly lace and bouquet taffeta Miss Arlene Kroeger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
Kroeger, Rt. 3, Delphos, became the bride of Robert P. Bendele at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 5. The bridegroom is; the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Bendele of Ottoville.
Delicate lace fashioned her long lily point sleeves and veiled her basque bodice enhanced with a sabrina
neckline and accented with iridescents and seed-pearls. Twin panels, of hand clipped lace were on either side of
her bouffant skirt which was centered with a self material rose at the hipline and swept into a graceful chapel train.
Her double tier fingertip veil of imported illusion was attached to a Chantilly lace pill box trimmed with sequins and
seed pearls, and she carried a cascade arrangement of red Delight roses showered with lilies of the valley and ivy
tips and trailing streamers of white satin ribbon.
Rev. John Quenneville performed the double ring ceremony in St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos, following
a fifteen minute prelude by Charles Gedert. The main altar of the church was decorated with bouquets of rose
gladioli and white mums.
Preceding her sister down the aisle was Miss Marilyn Kroeger, maid of honor, and bridesmaids Mrs. William
Igel, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Donald Beining, another sister of the bride, and Miss Margery Listen. Barbara
Best was flower girl. They wore dresses styled identically in red peau de soie and featuring closely molded
bodices and oval necklines with small sleeves. The full skirts cascaded over hoops and were embellished, with
matching bows down the front. Their circular veils were secured by red velvet leaf plateaus, and their flowers were
pendulum styled bouquets of white butterfly roses and Pompons accented with rose edged leaves. The flower girl
carried a white crocheted basket with an arrangement of red roses and white pompons.
Albert Romer, St. Henry, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man and ushers were Kenneth Kroeger,
brother of the bride, and Jerome Turnwald.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Kroeger chose a brown and green brocaded jacket dress with matching
accessories. Mrs. Bendele wore a full print jacket dress with tan accessories. Both had corsages of yellow
pompons.
Mrs. Anna Schimmoeller, grandmother of the bridegroom, wore a navy blue dress with matching accessories.
A dinner at Nu Maude Restaurant in Delphos followed the ceremony and a reception for 400 guests was held
in the Delphos Knights of Columbus Hall.
When the couple left on their wedding trip through the Western states the former Miss Kroeger was wearing a
dark fall dress with a matching jacket and accessories of black and light blue. Her corsage was from her bridal
bouquet
A graduate of St. John's High School in Delphos, the new Mrs. Bendele is employed by Dr. Ralph Best as a
dental assistant. Her husband graduated from Ottoville High School, attended the University of Dayton and Ohio
Northern University, and is employed at the Ottoville Hardware and Furniture. The couple will live in Ottoville.

Norman Buettner Weds Miss Stella Hilvers
Mr, and Mrs. Norman Buettner are residing in Ottoville following their Oct. 8 wedding and honeymoon to the
northern states and Canada.
The bride is the former Miss Stella Hilvers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hilvers of Rt 2. Fort Jennings, and
the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Buettner of Rt. 1, Delphos.
The 9 a.m. double ring ceremony was performed in the Ottoville Immaculate Conception Church by the Msgr.
J. F. Frommherz, pastor following musical selections provided by Miss Mary Katherine Heckman organist, and the
parish choir's singing of "Ave Maria" and the nuptial mass. Arrangements of rose and white flowers decorated the
altar of the church for the occasion.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a gown of nylon tulle combined with Chantilly lace and
taffeta. The sabrina neckline was traced with hand clipped lace scallops imbedded with iridescents and seed
pearls. The sculptured lace bodice featured long sleeves tapering to points over her wrists and the floor length
skirt boasted wide panels of matching lace. Her fingertip length veil of imported illusion was attached to a
headpiece trimmed with pearls and her earrings were a gift of the bridegroom.
Roses blended with orange blossoms and greenery formed her cascade bouquet showered with satin streamers
in which tiny rosebuds were entwined, another gift of the bridegroom, a crystal rosary, was also used in the
bouquet.
Maid of honor was Miss LaDonna Hilvers and bridesmaids were Miss Eileen Hilvers, Janet Buettner and
Lucille Klima. They wore ballerina length dresses of deep rose silk organza and lace styled with scoop necklines
and softly shirred three quarter sleeves. Their headdresses were pearl trimmed petal shaped bands accessories.
Her flowers were their gowns.
They carried half moon shaped bouquets of white feathered carnations and pale yellow rosebuds.
Mother of the bride was attired in a two-piece black and white checked dress with black accessories. Mrs.
Buettner wore a blue knitted suit with black accessories. They had corsages of white feathered carnations and
red rose buds.
Rex Boryce was best man and escorting the wedding guests to their seats were Larry Eugene Inskeep
Ronald Jack Inskeep and Donald Kaiser of Troy.
Fifty guests were served dinner in the Ottoville Parish Hall following the ceremony and a reception for 450
was held there later in the afternoon.
For her going away ensemble the former Miss Hilvers wore a blue linen suit dress with black accessories. Her
flowers were deep red carnations and white rosebuds.
The new Mrs. Buettner is an alumna of Ottoville High School and is employed in the Mutual Telephone Co.

Schlagbaum-Herman Wedding Solemnized
The wedding of Miss Arlene Marie Schlagbaum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Schlagbaum, Ottoville, and
James Herman, Dayton, was solemnized Nov. 5 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rt. Rev.
J. F. Frommherz, pastor, was celebrant of the 10 a.m. nuptial mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Herman, Delphos, are parents of the bridegroom. The bride entered the Church with her
father, who gave her in marriage. She wore a satin batiste floor length gown, featuring a scalloped neckline and
pleated waist. Lace and sequins were used for trimming, and the skirt terminated in a chapel train. Her illusion veil
was attached to a sequin coronet, and she carried a pearl rosary and prayerbook, gifts of the bridegroom, with an
orchid and feathered carnations.
Preceding the bride down the aisle was Mrs. John Miller, Dayton, matron of honor; Miss Janis Blankemeyer,
Ottoville: Miss Marie Herman, Spencerville, and Miss Phyllis Piergalski, Michigan City. Ind., bridesmaids. They
wore identical red velvet sheaths with matching scalloped overskirts and bow headpieces to which circular veils
were attached. All carried white muffs with clusters of flowers
Serving as best man was Joseph Herman, Spencerville, and seating guests were Don and Gary Schlagbaum.
Ottoville, brothers of the bride; and John Miller, Dayton.
Four hundred attended the reception and dance held in the parish hall. A dinner was served at noon in the
VFW Hall.
The bride's mother greeted quests in a plum colored brocaded rock, and the bridegroom's mother wore pink
lace over taffeta, they had matching hats and orchid corsages.
When the new Mr. and Mrs. Herman left for a southern trip the bride was wearing a cocoa brown jersey with
which she combined moss green accessories, and had an orchid corsage. They are now residing in Dayton.
The bride, a graduate of Ottoville High School and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. Ft. Wayne, Ind.
was a staff nurse until recently at the Van Wert County Hospital.
Mr. Herman was graduated from Delphos St. Johns High School and the University of Dayton. He is a civil
engineer with the City of Dayton Water Department.

Miss Marilyn Fischer Marries Melvin Fischer
Nuptial vows were exchanged Thanksgiving morning by Miss Marilyn Fischer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Laurence Fischer of Ottoville, and Melvin Fischer. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Fischer of Delphos are parents of the
bridegroom.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz performed the double ring ceremony in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
Ottoville, at 9:30 a.m., following appropriate music by Miss Mary Catherine Heckman and Mrs. John Weber,
soloist. Bouquets of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums graced the altar for the occasion.
The bride was lovely in a gown of traditional white taffeta embellished with a motif of reembroidered Alencon
lace and jeweled with seed pearls at the neckline of the sculptured bodice. Dainty points over her wrists accented
the long clinging sleeves while the softly flared fullness of her bouffant skirt was highlighted with a front panel of
lace appliques. Graceful streamers accented the skirt back which extended into a chapel length train. Secured by
a double crown of lace trimmed with iridescents and pearls, the four tiered veil was formed of scalloped imported
illusion. A cascade arrangement of light green cymbidum orchids and stephanotis topped her prayer book.
Maid of honor was a sister of the bride, Miss Carolyn Fischer. Bridesmaids were Mrs. James Clement and
Mrs. Alice Broecker, Miss Marjorie Fischer, another sister of the bride; and Miss Carolyn Louise Fischer, sister of
the bridegroom. They were attired in ballerina length gowns of moss green peau-de-soie fashioned with fitted
bodices, scooped necklines and small sleeves. Their full circular skirts were decorated with small front bows and
their bow hats matched their dresses. Cascade arrangements of bronze and yellow pompons completed the
ensembles of the attendants.
Eugene Fischer served his brother as best man and seating guests were Norm Fischer, Roger Broecker,
James Clement, Ralph Pohlman and Donald Hockey.
A dinner for 30 in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Ottoville, followed the ceremony and 350 were received
later in Memorial Hall, Fort Jennings.
The bride's mother selected a jacket sheath of Danish blue brocade with three quarter length sleeves. Her
accessories were black. Mother of the bridegroom wore a wool brocade sheath in wild rice with accessories of
winter mint green. Their flowers were white orchids.
The new Mrs. Fischer chose a brown tweed suit for the couple's southern wedding trip. They will reside in
Ottoville.
The bride is a graduate of Ottoville High School while the bridegroom is an alumnus of Delphos St. John's
High School. He is employed at Grain and Soya.

O'Neill-Bohn Vows Read Thanksgiving Day
Large bouquets of pink and white chrysanthemums and tall candelabra gracefully decorated the altar of
Delphos St. John's Catholic Church for the Thanksgiving Day wedding uniting Miss Shelia O'Neil and Paul A.
Bohn. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. W. A. O'Neill of Delphos and the late Mr. O'Neill. The bridegroom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bohn of Ottoville. Rev. Thomas Gorman read the double ring ceremony and was
celebrant of the nuptial mass following the processional by Charles Gedert, organist, who also accompanied the
children's choir.
Given in marriage by her brother, Winfield O'Neill of Dayton, the bride was lovely in gown of Chantilly lace
and tulle. The snug fitting bodice was fashioned of lace over tulle and featured a round collar and long sleeves
that tapered over her wrists. Inserts of lace accented the floor length bouffant tulle skirt. Her two tiered veil of
illusion fell in soft folds from a half hat of lace trimmed with pearls. For ornament the bride wore crystal earrings,
gift of the bridegroom and she carried a bouquet of natural pink roses, snowdrift pompons and ivy tips from which
fell satin streamers tied in lover's knots.
The bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Illa Honigford of Columbus Grove, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were
the bride's sister. Mrs. Jane Altman of Delphos, and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Neill of Dayton, sister-in-law of bride.
The attendants wore street length sheath dresses of Cotillion blue lace styled with blue net over skirts. Their
matching headpieces of velvet leaves held circular veils and they wore pearl earrings, gifts of the bride. Fujimums
and pink roses formed their pendulum styled bouquets.
Richard Gengler of Landeck attended to the duties of best man and seating the wedding guests were Fred
Bohn of Ottoville and Byron Altman of Delphos, brother of the bridegroom and brother-in-law of the bride
respectively.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. O'Neill selected a wool jersey sheath dress of sapphire blue with matching
and black accessories. Mrs. Bohn was attired in a blue silk sheath dress with white and black accessories. Both
mothers wore white pompon corsages
The wedding dinner was served in the Janba Room at Nu Maudes Restaurant and 300 guests were received
in the afternoon at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Delphos.
When the couple left for a Michigan wedding trip the new Mrs. Bohn traveled in a beige knit suit with which
she combined brown accessories. Her corsage was from her bouquet. They will reside at Shawnee Trailer Court.
The bride, a graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and St. Rita's Hospital School of Nursing, is
employed at the hospital.
Mr. Bohn, an employee at Ted's Barber Shop, Lima, and is an alumnus of Ottoville High School and Toledo
Barber College.
