Mr. And Mrs. Honigford To Honeymoon In Florida
White snapdragons and carnations decorated the main altar of the Immaculate Conception Church in
Ottoville when Miss Marguerite Mary Pohlman and Harold B. Honigford were united in marriage Saturday morning.
The double ring ceremony was solemnized by Msgr. J. F. Frommherz at 9 o'clock in the morning Miss Mary C.
Heckman presided at the organ and Miss Norma Schlagbaum sang “Ave Maria” and other appropriate selections.
Miss Pohlman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert V. Pohlman, Rt. 3, Delphos, and Mr. Honigford is the
son of Mr. Clem Honigford and the late Mrs. Honigford of Rt. 3, Ft. Jennings.
The bride was charming in her gown of imported French lace. Tiers of ruffles of imported tulle over bridal
satin featuring scalloped lace panels floating on the sides formed the floor length skirt which was worn over hoops
and crinolines. Hand-Clipped lace scallops emphasized the sabrina neckline which was highlighted with iridescent.
sequins and seed pearls. An empire band and bow of satin graced the sculptured lace bodice which had long
sleeves tapering to points and was fastened in the back with tiny buttons extending to below the waistline. Her
fingertip veil of French illusion fell gracefully from a crown of imported French lace studded with seed pearls and
iridescent sequins. She carried a bouquet of red garnet roses centered with a large white orchid With this, she
wore small pearl earrings which were a gift of the groom. ,
Miss Marilyn Ann Pohlman, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, with Carole Pohlman; another sister,
Marilyn Honigford, sister of the groom, Marilyn Blankemeyer and Therese Hungsert serving, as bridal attendants.
They all wore white ballerina length gowns of tiny lace ruffles. The fitted bodices were fashioned with small ruffle
straps extending over their shoulders and red velvet cumberbunds. With these they wore red velvet headpieces,
red shoes, white wrist length gloves and pearl earrings, which were gifts of the bride. Their bouquets were of red
carnations tied with white satin bows.
Paul Honigford, brother of the groom, was best man, with Jerry Honigford, another brother, Jerry Pohlman,
brother of the bride, serving as ushers. Also assisting the wedding party were Vic Honigford, Tom Honigford and
Dan Siefker.
Mrs. Pohlman chose a peach dress with black accessories for her daughter's wedding. With this, she wore a
corsage of white carnations.
A dinner for 60 guests was held in the Ottoville Hall with the decorations carried out in red and white, the
color theme of the wedding.
At 3:30, a reception for 600 guests was held in the Hall and at 9 o'clock there was a dance in honor the
newlyweds with Whitey Wannemacher's orchestra providing the music.
As they left for a two week’s honeymoon in Florida, the new Mrs. Honigford was wearing a red velvet dress,
white fur felt, trimmed with pearls and a white orchid corsage. Upon their return, the couple will be at home at
410½ W. second street, Delphos.
Marguerite is a graduate of Ottoville High School and is employed at the New Delphos Manufacturing Co. as
a secretary. Harold is also a graduate of Ottoville High School, served six months in the U. S. Army Reserve, and
is employed at the Fruehauf Trailer Corp. in Delphos.

Alice Hesseling Becomes Bride Of Robert Rayman
Miss Alice Hesseling became the bride of Robert L. Rayman in a double ring ceremony at St. John's Catholic
Church in Delphos, Feb. 15, at 9:00 a.m. The bride was given in marriage by her father as the children's choir
sang the nuptial mass. They sang the "Ave Maria" and "On This Day 0 Beautiful Mother," Miss Helen Stallkamp
provided the organ accompaniment.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hesseling, Rt. 2, Delphos and the groom is the son of Mrs.
Lucy Rayman and the late John Rayman of Ottoville, Oho.
Miss Hesseling's gown was of French Chantilly lace over net and bridal satin. It had a fitted bodice with a high
neckline topped by a mandarin collar. The yoke of the bodice was of nylon pleated tulle woven with iridescent
sequinn and had long sleeves that tapered to a point at the wrists Her finger tip illusion veil cascaded from a
crown of white braided net entwined with pearls. The bride's flowers were white gardenias over a communion
prayer book. The bride wore tiny tear drop pearl earrings and carried a white crystal rosary, which received the
papal blessing, both gifts from her groom.
Miss Lois Hesseling sister of the bride, was her maid of honor and Miss Ann Marie Shumaker was her
bridesmaid. They both wore identical waltz length gowns of white Chantilly lace over net and lavender taffeta. The
gowns were styled with empire waistlines adorned with wide taffeta cumberbunds that fell in long streamers at the
back. The attendants headdresses were crowns of lavender braided net entwined in pearls with small veils. Their
flowers were bouquets of shaded purple mums with ribbon streamers.
Best man for the groom was his brother, Eugene Rayman. Clarence Hemker and Virgil Hesseling served as
ushers.
The bride's mother was attired in a navy blue crepe and lace dress with matching accessories. Her corsage
was of white gardenias.
The groom's mother wore light blue wool knit suit with black accessories and wore pink roses.
After the wedding, the bridal dinner for 50 guests was held at the Ottoville Parish Hall. The reception began at 2:
00 p.m. where approximately 250 guests passed through the reception line.
The bride wore a wool sheath dress of bride gray with matching accessories as they left for a honeymoon
through the southern states. After their trip, they will reside in Cleveland, where Robert is employed by Aiming &
Johnson Co.
The bride graduated from St. John's High School and attended St. Rita's School of Nursing. The groom
attended Ottoville High School and then served in the U. S. Army in Europe.

Mary A. Ruen Weds Paul A. Honigford in Ottoville Church
The wedding of Miss Mary M. Ruen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Ruen, Route 3, Ft. Jennings, and Paul
A. Honigford was solemnized Saturday morning. April 12 in Immaculate Conception Catholic church, Ottoville. Rt.
Rev. J. F. Frommherz was celebrant of the nuptial high mass at 9:30 a.m. before the altar decorated with yellow
and white flower's. The bridegroom is the son of Clem Honigford, Route 3, Ft. Jennings and the late Mrs.
Honigford.
Miss Mary Catherine Heckman was at the organ and the vocalists were John Weber and Miss Norma
Schlagbaum.
The bride wore a self-designed wedding gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin, with fitted bodice,
sabrina neckline and long tapering sleeves. The floor length skirt was fashioned with lace on either side and a
cascade ruffles down the back. Her four-tiered veil of bridal illusion was attached to a pillbox of the Chantilly lace,
and she carried a crescent-shaped bouquet of white roses and feathered carnations.
Her attendants were Miss Mildred Ruen, a sister, as maid of honor; Miss Catherine Ruen another sister Miss
Marilyn Honigford, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Ann Schlagbaum as bridesmaids. The attendants wore
identical frocks of yellow tulle, made in princess style with lace bodices, and all wore matching small hats and
gauntlets. Their flowers were maroon carnations and foliage.
Jerry Honigford attended his brother and guests were seated by Paul Ruen and Harold Honigford.
A dinner for 50 guests was served in the VFW hall, and a reception for several hundred guests followed in
the Ottoville parish hall.
For her wedding trip to Florida the bride wore a pink ensemble with black accessories and corsage of roses.
They will reside on Route 3, Ft. Jennings after May 1.
The bride, is employed in the Ohio Power Co. offices in Van Wert and the bridegroom is with the Food
Marketing Corp., Lima, following military service. They both attended Ottoville high school.

Teresa Brinkman Is Bride Of John Friemoth
The wedding of Miss Teresa Brinkman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Brinkman, Route 3, Ft. Jennings,
and John Friemoth, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Friemoth, Route 2, Oakwood, was solemnized April 1, in
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz was celebrant of the nuptial mass at
9:30 a.m.
The bride was given in marriage by her father was lovely in a dress of embroidered white tulle over taffeta,
made with fitted bodice and butterfly collar. The long sleeves were tapering and the full bouffant skirt was floor
length and had a pleated front panel. Her veil of bridal illusion was finger length and attached to a coronet of seed
pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white feathered carnations stephanotis and ivy.
The maid of honor was Miss Anna Marie Brinkman, and the bridesmaids were Mrs. James Rosengarten, Miss
Rita Brinkman, Miss Julia Brinkman, all sisters of the bride. They wore attractive frocks of white net over ice blue
taffeta, featuring a full skirt, with large bow, fitted bodice and bracelet sleeves. Their matching crowns had circular
veils and they carried spring flowers in harmonizing shades.
Jerome Friemoth attended his cousin as best man and ushers were Dave Saylor and Jerry Heitmeyer.
Miss Mary Heckman presided at the organ, and during the mass Mrs. Joan Vorst sang "Ave Maria" and "Mother At
Thy Feet I Am Kneeling."
Four hundred guests were invited to the reception in the parish hall, after which the couple left for a southern
trip. For travelling the bride selected a beige dress with black patent accessories and the corsage from her bridal
bouquet.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Brinkman wore a blue frock and the bridegroom's mother had beige lace.
Their corsages were roses.
The couple will make their home in Glandorf. The bride is a graduate of Ottoville high school and employed
as record clerk at the Sylvania Electric Co., Ottawa. The bridegroom was graduated from Lima St. Rose High
School, and is employed at the same company.

Odenweller-Rode Nuptials Read
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville was the scene of the wedding of Miss Mary Ann
Odenweller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Odenweller, and Arnold F. Rode solemnized Saturday. The
bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Henry Rode, Route 3, Delphos, and the late Mr. Rode.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz was celebrant of the double ring ceremony and nuptial mass at 9 a.m. and baskets
of summer flowers added color to the sanctuary. Miss Mary Catherine Heckman was organist, and Mrs. Thomas
Vorst sang "Ave Maria" and "Mother, At Thy Feet We're Kneeling."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attractively gowned in a tulle tiered floor length gown enriched
with filigree work, the extremely full skirt ending in a train. The bodice was dipped in back, and had a sabrina
neckline. Her veil of bridal illusion was caught with a crown of net intertwined with pearls and sequins, and she
carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses, orchid and stephanotis. For ornament she wore the bridegroom's gift, a
cross and chain,
The attendants were Miss Patricia Odenweller as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Marcia
Odenweller, Miss Dorothy Deisel and Miss Joan Odenweller. They wore gowns of embroidered mint green and
blush pink organdy over net and taffeta, made, with fitted bodices, rounded necklines and cap sleeves. The full
skits had wide taffeta cummerbunds. They carried asters in pink and rose shades and had matching tiaras and
veils.
Ralph Rode was best man and ushers were Melvin Rode and Tom Wagner. The bride's mother had a blue
lace frock, and the bridegroom’s mother was in pink lace. They wore white and pink rose corsages.
Three hundred and fifty guest were invited to the reception in the parish hall, after which the couple left for a
New England trip. For traveling the bride chose a shrimp silk dress, with white accessories, and orchid
corsage.
The bride has been a teacher in Ottoville High School, and in a Mary Manse College graduate. The
bridegroom was graduated from Ft. Jennings High School and is employed at Odenweller’s store, in Delphos. they
will make their future home in Ottoville.

Mueller-Hohlbein Vows Exchanged In Landeck
In an attractive wedding solemnized Saturday July 12 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck, Miss
Angela Mueller was united in marriage to Gerald Hohlbein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hohlbein, of Ottoville. The
bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Mueller, Landeck.
The Rev. Robert Knoepfle, pastor, was celebrant of the nuptial high mass at 9 a. m. before the main altar
banked with white mums. The church choir sang the mass and their selections included "Panis Angelicus" "Ave
Maria."
The bride entered the Church with her father who gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of embroidered
nylon tulle over white satin, fashioned with laced edged bateau neckline, fitted bodice and full skirt over hoops
and crinolines. Her veil of sheer illusion was held with a coronet of pearls and sequins, and she carried pink
sweetheart roses and stephanotis.
Miss Janice Mueller was her sister's maid of honor and the bridesmaid was Miss Anna Mane Mueller, another
sister. Their ballerina length gowns were similar in style, the maid of honor in green and the bridesmaid in yellow.
They had matching head bands and carried colonial bouquets of summer flowers. The flower girl was Diane
Hemker, niece of the bridegroom, who wore a pink frock.
The bridegroom's brother Donald Hohlbein served as his best man, and seating guests were Richard
Hohlbein and Joseph Mueller. Keith Pohlman was ring bearer.
The bride's mother wore a printed frock, and the bridegroom's mother was dressed in pink linen. They had
orchid corsages.
A reception and dance was held in the Ft. Jennings Memorial hall after which Mr. Hohlbein and his bride left
for a southern trip.
The bride, a graduate of Delphos St. John's High School, is employed at Town Finance office, Delphos and
the bridegroom an Ottoville High School alumnus, is a barber at 682 S. Main. Lima.

Blake-Bigelow Wedding Held In McHenry Church
Announcement is made of the recent marriage of Miss Marion Jean Blake and Robert Bigelow, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Hilary Bigelow, of Ottoville, which was solemnized Saturday June 28 in St. Marys Catholic Church, McHenry.
The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Blake of McHenry. The Rev. John Reuland officiated, and the bride
wore a gown of white lace and taffeta, made with very full skirt ending in a chapel train. Her veil was illusion and
she carried white carnations and stephanotis.
Miss Dolores Blake was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Elaine Horstman, Mrs. Dorothy
Wolowic and Miss June Bigelow, Ottoville, sisters of the couple. They wore white nylon lace over blue taffeta, and
carried crescent arrangements of pink and white flowers. George Schroeder, Ottoville, attended to the duties of
best man and ushering were Paul Bigelow, James Blake and Gerald Blake.
The couple left for an eastern trip following a reception in the Legion hall. They are now residing in Ottoville,
and the bridegroom is employed by the Sylvania Electric Co. in Ottawa.

Fisher-Clement Vows Exchanged
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, provided the setting for the wedding of Miss Mary Louise
Fisher and James Clement solemnized Saturday, Oct. 4. The nuptial mass was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. by Rt.
Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor.
The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Fisher, Ottoville, and Mrs. Alvina Clement, Delphos, is mother
of the bridegroom. White and orchid gladioli decorated the main altar for the ceremony.
The bride was lovely in her floor length gown of imported chantilly lace and tulle, which featured a queen
Anne collar and V-neckline, trimmed with sequins and pearls. Her full skirt of intricately placed panels of lace and
tulle was etched with appliques of the sequins, and the broad side panels were cascading ruffles of lace and
crystal pleated tulle. The back panel formed a train. It was all worn over slipper satin, hoops and crinolines. A tiara
of rhinestones and pearls held her double tiered illusion veil, and she carried a white prayerbook topped with ivy
and orchids, and a crystal rosary, gift of the bridegroom.
The bride's sister Miss Alice Fisher was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Marolyn Fischer, Miss
Carolyn Fischer, Miss Alice Clement and Miss Martha Becker. All were dressed in frocks of white cotton lace and
nylon tulle over taffeta. The dresses were fashioned with scooped necklines, and tiny cap sleeves edged with
mauve pink. Their bodices were trimmed with satin pleated cummerbunds of mauve pink with center back bow.
The full skirts were worn over tulle, crinolines and hoops, and their hats were made of real flowers in shades of
orchid and pink to match their bouquets.
Don Kahle served as best man, and ushers were Tom Wolke, Bob Lause, Les Dienstberger and Joseph
Etzkorn.
Mrs. Fisher wore for her daughter's wedding a turquoise lace dress with patent accessories and corsage of
roses, and the bridegroom's mother selected a dusty rose lace dress and her flowers were Talisman roses.
A dinner for 30 guests was served in the VFW hall and was followed by a dance and reception in the evening
for 450 guests in the Ottoville parish hall. The couple left for a New England and Canadian trip, and on their
return will make their home at East Third, in Delphos. When the couple left for traveling the bride was wearing a
beige suit brown accessories and orchid corsage.
The new Mrs. Clement was graduated from Fatima Hall in Dayton and the bridegroom from Delphos St.
John's High School and Toledo Barber College. He is owner of shop in Lima.

Dorothy Renner Weds Donald Miller
Miss Dorothy M. Renner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Renner of Landeck, and Donald A. Miller, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Steve Miller of Ottoville, were united in marriage at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The double ring ceremony was solemnized in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church by Rev. Robert
Knoepfle, pastor, before the altar decorated with bronze and white chrysanthemums. The Children's Choir sang
for the mass.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father wore a gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over bridal
satin. Hand clipped lace framed the Sabrina neckline of the sculptured lace bodice, which had long sleeves
tapering to bridal points. Her full length skirt featured a lace peplum over tiers of tulle ruffles which fell from the
waist to the hemline. Her fingertip veil was attached to a Chantilly lace pill box trimmed with iridescent sequins and
pearls. Her flowers were red roses and lilies of the valley in a crescent showered with satin streamers with red
rosebuds tied in the lovers knots.
Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Catherine, and bridesmaids was Mrs. La Donna Schlagbaum, twin sister
of the groom, and junior bridesmaids was Mary Jane Burgei, niece of the bridegroom. The maid of honor and
bridesmaid wore identical frocks of red chiffon over satin with draped bodices and V necklines both front and
back. Their bouffant skirts were ballerina length and they wore small matching crowns with circle veils. They
carried baskets filled with white baby mums, red rosebuds and red heatherbell. The junior bridesmaid wore a
white chiffon over taffeta dress with a three-tiered ballerina length skirt and carried a bouquet that was a miniature
of the bride's.
Arthur Miller, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and escorting the guests to their places were Ralph
Miller, another brother, and Eugene Renner, brother of the bride.
The mother of the bride wore dusty rose lace with navy blue accessories and a purple throated orchid. The
mother of the bridegroom wore a blue print frock vith black accessories and a blue dipped orchid.
A breakfast was given in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Caskel for the wedding party and a dinner was
held at Nu-Maude's in Delphos. A reception followed at 2:30 in the Ottoville Parish Hall.
As the couple left for a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and the eastern states, the bride was wearing a winter
blue suit with back accessories and a blue tipped corsage. They will make their home at 504 S. Jefferson,
Delphos.
The bride is a graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School and is a waitress at Nu-Maude's. The bridegroom is
a graduate of Ottoville High School and is employed as a mechanic at the Delphos Chevrolet Garage.

Miss Norma Lee Burgei Married
Miss Norma Ann Burgei daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Burgei, Ottoville became the bride of Harold A.
Vonderembse in a ceremony solemnized Oct. 18 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Vonderembse, Delphos, are parents of the bridegroom.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz, pastor, was celebrant of the nuptial mass before the main alter decorated with
yellow and bronze mums.
The bride was lovely in a gown of taffeta and nylon tulle fashioned with a fitted bodice having a scalloped
embroidered Venice lace neckline trimmed with sequins. The bouffant skirt of taffeta had bows of taffeta caught
up at the sides and the back of nylon tulle fell gracefully into a short train. Her fingertip veil was attached to a
crown scattered with sequins and she carried a bouquet of white mums edged in green foliage.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Rode and another sister, Mrs. Arthur
Pohlman was bridesmaid, Kathryn Pohlman, a niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. All were dressed alike in
dansolite taffeta emerald green gowns necklines and featuring round short sleeves and full skirts. They wore hats
of white nylon with veils scattered with pearls and carried bouquets of large mums of bronze edged in smaller
mums. Their pearl chokers and earrings were gifts of the bride.
Acting as best man for the bridegroom was Paul Vonderembse. a brother and ushers were Thomas Burgei
and John Vonderembse.
Immediately following the ceremony, breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents and a dinner at
the VFW hall in Ottoville. An afternoon reception for 400 guests was held at the parish hall in Ottoville.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Burgei chose a beige embroidered dress with deep pink accessories while
the bridegroom's mother selected a blue dress with black accessories. Corsages of pink carnations were worn by
both.
The bride chose a royal blue dress with black accessories and a corsage of white mums as the couple left on
a wedding trip to New York City.
An employee of the Delphos Grain and Soya Product Co. bride is a graduate of Ottoville High School. Mr.
Venderembse was graduated from St. John's High School in Delphos and is employed by the Standard Oil Co., of
Lima.
Mr. and Mrs. VonderEmbse will make their home at 605 W. First Street in Delphos.

Utrup-Landwehr Nuptials Exchanged In Ottoville
The wedding of Miss Anna Caterine Utrup of Ottoville and Louis John Landwehr, Route 3, Fort Jennings was
solemnized Saturday, Dec. 27 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
The Rev, John H. Miller, cousin of the bride, was celebrant of the nuptial mass at 10 a.m. before the altar
decorated in seasonal colors. Mrs. Robert Miller, soloist, had as her offertory and communion selections "Ave
Maria," and "On This Day, 0 Beautiful Mother."
For her wedding the bride wore a ballerina length dress of nylon and lace over taffeta. The molded bodice
had a squared neckline and the sleeves were long" and tapering. A butterfly bow added back interest at the
waistline and the very, full skirt was worn over hoops and Crinolines. Her veil was attached to a sequin studded
crown, and she carried white carnations and ivy showered with satin streamers.
The bridegroom's sister Mrs. Carl Kehres was matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Jo Ann
Landwehr and Miss Mary Ann Utrup. The bride's attendants wore ballerina dresses of nylon and lace over ruffles
and hoops. Mrs. Kehres was in peach, Miss Utrup in blue and Miss Landwehr wore peach. The dresses had
rounded necklines and cummerbunds laced with ribbons, and they wore white velvet clip hats, and carried white
carnations.
Carl Kehres attended his brother-in-law, and guests were seated by Othmer and Arthur Landwehr.
A dinner was served in the VFW hall, followed by a reception in the Ottoville parish hall for several hundred
guests.
After a short trip the couple will reside in Ottoville where the bridegroom is employed by the Miller Bros. Clay
Works.

Nuptials Held In Ottoville
The marriage of Mrs. Verna Hull and Gilbert Honigford, both of Ottoville took place Dec. 27 in the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
Rt. Rev. J. F. Frommherz was celebrant of the nuptial mass, sung by the childrens choir.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gasser were the attendants. The bride wore a street length dress of violet velvet with
matching accessories, and a flowered hat, while her attendant wore a blue ensemble. Their corsages were white
roses and carnations.
An informal reception followed in the Knotty Pine hall in Fort Jennings, after which the couple left for a trip to
Canada. They are now residing in Ottoville.
