Wedding Is Performed At Ottoville
Rev. J. S. Arnoldi Officiates at Ceremony Uniting Miss Hilda Martin and Mr. Albert Grothouse –
Ceremony Takes Place Tuesday Morning at Eight O’clock – Couple to Reside in Delphos
A pretty wedding ceremony took place at the Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville Tuesday morning at
eight o’clock when Miss Hilda Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin, of Ottoville, became the bride of Mr.
Albert Grothouse, of Delphos.
Rev. J. S. Arnoldi, pastor, intoned the nuptial high mass and performed the impressive single ring ceremony
in the presence of a large group of relatives and friends.
Witnessing the wedding were Miss Bertha Klima, cousin of the bride, and Mr. Arthur Grothouse brother of the
groom.
The bride wore an attractive creation of orchid crepe de Chine over pink with gold lace trimings. She wore a
hat or orchid and gold and blond slippers and hose. Her flowers were a shower bouquet of white carnations.
The bridesmaid also wore orchid crepe de Chine over pink, the gown being similarly fashioned. She wore a bright
colored spring bonnet and black slippers and hose. Her flowers were pink carnations.
A reception and dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents at noon. The home was beautifully
decorated in a color scheme of pink and orchid. About one hundred guests were present at the dinner.
Serving the dinner were Misses Loretta Neider and Eleanor Neider, of Ft. Jennings, Eulitta Otte; Bertha
Smith, Francis Gergens; Helen Ruen, of Ottoville, and Theresa Gerdeman, Clara Hesseling, Regina Grothouse,
Eleanore Hesseling and Leona Trentman, of Delphos.
The couple will make their home in this city. The groom is employed at the Delphos Bending Company.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Grothouse have the best wishes of their many friends in Delphos, Ottoville and vicinity.

Marriage Ceremony Uniting Miss Bertha Weber and Clem Honigford Takes, Place at the Immaculate
Conception Church at Ottoville With Rev. Fr. Arnoldi in Charge – Will Reside oh Farm near Ottoville
Miss Bertha Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weber, of Ottoville became the bride of Clem
Honigford, son of John Honigford Sr., of northwest of Ottoville, Wednesday morning at eight o'clock at the
Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville. Rev. Fr. Arnoldi officiated at the single ring ceremony, and also
celebrated the nuptial high mass.
Attending the bridal couple were Miss Ida Weber, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and Joseph Honigford,
brother of the groom, as groomsman.
The bride wore an attractive gown of tan silk crepe fashioned in drape effect and trimmed in silk embroidery.
She wore a tan hat to correspond and blonde slippers and hose. Her flowers were a shower of Ophelia roses and
sweet peas.
The bridesmaid wore a gown of green silk crepe fashioned also in the drape effect. She wore a green hat to
match her gown and blonde slippers and hose. She carried carnations.
Following the ceremony a reception an dinner took place at the bride’s parents, the immediate families and a
few friends being present. The home was decorated in a color motif of green and tan. Serving the guests were
Miss Gertrude Fisher, of Fort Jennings, Mrs. Adolph Miller and Misses Bertha and Ethel Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Honigford have the best wishes of their many friends and who reside in Ottoville and vicinity.
They will be at home to their friends on a farm northwest of Ottoville.
Present from out of town at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wannemacher, of Defiance, and Mrs. and

Pretty Wedding Takes Place At Ottoville
Miss Rose Bensman and John Sholl United in Holy Matrimony Wednesday Morning at Eight O'Clock —
Rev. Fr. Arnoldi Officiates at Ceremony and Celebrates Nuptial High Mass — Will Reside at Fort Wayne
A pretty early June wedding took place at the Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville, Wednesday
morning at eight o'clock when Miss Rose Bensman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bensman became the bride of
John Sholl, of Fort Wayne, youngest son of Oliver Sholl, of Defiance. Rev. Fr. Arnoldi officiated at the single ring
ceremony and celebrated the nuptial high mass.
The ceremony was witnessed by a large number of relatives and friends if the bridal couple. Music during the
ceremony was furnished by the Immaculate Conception church choir.
Attending the bridal couple as witnesses were Miss Barbara Bensman, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and
George Breckler, cousin of the groom, is best man.
The bride was attractively attired in a gown of white georgette trimmed in lace, ribbon and rhinestones. Her
tulle veil was arranged in fan effect and held in place with a bandeau of orange blossoms. She carried a shower
bouquet of bride's roses and lilies.
The bridesmaid wore a pretty creation of green 'French crepe trimmed in ribbon and with picot edging of gold
thread. She wore a bandeau of rhinestones in her hair and blonde slippers and hose. Her flowers were an arm
bouquet of Columbia roses and sweet peas.
At noon, a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, northwest of Ottoville. Only
immediate relatives were present. The home was beautifully decorated in a color scheme of white and green. The
bride's table was centered with a huge wedding cake and flowers added to the decoration at the table. Serving
the guests were Misses Teresa Ruen, Martha Turnwald, Adeline Neimeyer and Mrs. Ed. C. Bensman.
Mr. and Mrs. Sholl left during the course of the day on a wedding trip by motor to Cleveland, Detroit, and
Niagara Falls, Upon their return, they will receive their many friends at 1411 Taylor street, Fort Wayne, where
they have a home in readiness.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Sholl are well and favorably known in Ottoville and vicinity and have a host of friends to
wish them happiness.
The groom is an employee of the General Electric company at Fort Wayne.
Among those from out of town present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. George Hutt, of Wapakoneta; Mr.
and Mrs. Theodore Sholl and family, Oliver Sholl, and George Brcckler, of Defiance; Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian

A pretty early June wedding took place at Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville Tuesday morning at
eight o'clock when Miss Mary Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mliller, of south of Ottoville, and mold
Liebrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Liebrecht, of east of Ottoville, plighted their troth. Rev. Fr. J. S. Arnoldi,
pastor of the church, officiated at the single ring ceremony and intoned the nuptial high mass in the presence of a
large group of relatives and friends. Music during the ceremony was furnished by the Immaculate Conception
church choir.
Attending the bridal couple were Miss Veronica Liebrecht, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid and George
Miller, brother of the bride, as best man.
The bride wore an attractive bridal gown of white crepe fashioned with a ruffled skirt and trimmed in lace and
rhinestones. Her tulle veil was arranged in hat effect and trimmed in pearls. She wore white kid slippers and
carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses.
The bridesmaid wore a pretty creation of Mother Goose tan silk crepe with a skirt of tan shadow lace and
trimmed in rhinestones. She wore blonde slippers and hose and a banleau of satin ribbon and rhinestones on her
hair. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses.
Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home the bride's brother, Adolph Miller, of
Ottoville. At noon a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, the immediate family and a few
close friends being present. The home was attractively adorned in a color scheme of pink, tan and white. A huge
wedding cake centered the bride’s table and flowers added to the decorations at the table.
Serving the guests were Miss Gene Kehres, of Delphos, Clara Millenbaugh, Frances Gergens, Anna
Hohlbein, Barbara and Frances Heitmeyer and Bernadine Kortokrax.
Mr. and Mrs. Liebrecht will reside on a farm east of Ottoville, which they have in readiness.

Wedding of Miss Frances Anna Gergen and Sylvester Hoehn Takes Place at Immaculate Conception
Church at Eight O’clock – Rev. Fr. Arnoldi Officiates at Ceremony – Cou8ple to Reside with Bride’s
Parents
A pretty June Wedding took place at the Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville Wednesday morning at
eight o’clock when Miss Frances Anna Gergen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gergen, and Sylvester A. Hoehn,
son of Mrs. Margaret Hoehn, all of Ottoville, plighted their troth. The wedding ceremony was celebrated by the
pastor, Rev. Fr. J. S. Arnoldi.
The ceremony was largely attended by relatives and friends of the bridle couple. F. J. Uhrich presided at the
organ during the ceremony. The Church choir furnished music during the nuptial mass.
Miss Loretta Becker, cousin of the bride, as bridesmaid, and Gilbert Hoehn, brother of the groom, as best
man, preceded the bridle couple to the alter.
The bride wore a pretty bridal gown of white georgette fashioned with a full skirt in scallop effect and trimmed
in rose buds of satin. Her veil was made in a shirred cap effect and trimmed in rhinestones. She wore white kids
slippers, white hose, and carries a shower bouquet of brides’ roses and sweet peas.
At noon a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to about one hundred guests. The
home was decorated in a color scheme of pink and white and a large |wedding cake formed the centerpiece at the
bride's table. Flowers were also attractively used in decoration.
Serving the guests were Misses Euletta Otte, Mary Pittner, Veronica Liebrecht, LaDonna Becker, Dorothy
Nihiser, of Delphos, Lucille Homer, of Toledo, Lucille Harrison, of Kalida., Mary Honingfort; and Catherine and
Mary Horstman.
A wedding reception will take place this evening at 5:30 o’clock. A wedding dance will be held Wednesday
evening at the farm home of Peter Gergen beginning at 8:30 o’clock.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoehn will reside at the home of the bride’s parents. Up to the time of this marriage, the groom
was employed on his mother’s farm north of Ottoville.
The newly-weds have the best wishes and congratulations of their many friends.

Nuptials Take Pace At St. John’s
Miss Rose Violet Murray and Leo J. Deitering, of Ottoville, United in Holy Wedlock Wednesday
Morning at 7:45 O’clock – Monsignor Rupert Officiates At Ceremony – Couple Will Reside Near
Ottoville
A pretty wedding ceremony took place at St. John's church Wednesday morning at 7:45 o'clock when Miss
Rose Violet Murray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Murray, east Second street, became the bride of Leo J.
Deitering, son of Mr. and Mrs. Deitering, of Ottoville. The single ring ceremony was performed by Monsignor P.
Rupert in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Monsignor Rupert also celebrated the nuptial
high mass.
The bridal party advanced to the altar to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march played by Mrs. R. H.
Jettinghoff at the organ and Miss Lillian Wahmhoff, violin. Mendelssohn's wedding march was used as a
recessional.
The children of the seventh and eighth grades of St. John's school furnished the music. Professor Holdgreve
presided at the organ during the mass.
Miss Ida Foster, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Frances Goedde, also a friend of the bride, was
bridesmaid and Leo Miller, cousin of the groom, his best man. Little Miss Dorothy Murray, sister of the bride, was
flower girl. .
The bride wore a beautiful wedding gown of white georgette over satin fashioned with silver-edged panels
and trimmed in white flowers. Her tule veil was arranged in hat effect and held in place with a bridal wreath. She
carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses.
The maid of honor wore a pretty gown of burnt orange flat crepe trimmed in embroidery. Her headdress was
a bandeau of silver leaves and her slippers and hose were of blonde shade. She carried an arm bouquet of tea
roses.
The bridesmaid was attired gown of peach colored flat crepe flower trimmed. She also wore a bandeau of
silver leaves and blonde slippers and hose. Her flowers were Ophelia roses.
The little flower girl wore a pretty frock of white georgette over Nile green. She wore a maline bow in her hair
and carried a basket of daisy buds.
A wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party at the home of the bride's parents immediately after the
ceremony. At noon a wedding dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents of north of Ottoville. About
seventy-five guests were present. The home was decorated in peach, green and white and with an overhanging
wedding bell. The bride's table was centered with a wedding cake and flowers also added to the decorations.
Misses Agnes Goedde, Leona Lucius, Lottie Bowersock and Wilma Girard served as waitresses at the dinner,
Miss Goedde and Miss Lucius also served at the wedding breakfast.
A public dance will-be held at the home of the groom's parents in the evening.
The groom has been engaged in farming, on his parents' farm while his bride has been employed for a year
past at the Deisel-Wemmer Cigar factory.
Mr. and Mrs. Deitering will receive their friends on a farm three miles north of Ottoville, which they have in
readiness. They have the congratulations and best wishes of-their many friends.

The Immaculate Conception Church at Ottoville was the scene of a pretty wedding Tuesday morning at eight
o'clock, when Miss Rose Hilvers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Hilvers of west of Ottoville, and Mr. Frank
Allemeier, son of, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Allemeier, of northeast of Delphos, plighted their troth. Rev. J. S. Arnoldi,
pastor, officiated at the single ring ceremony and celebrated the nuptial high mass. A large gathering of relatives
and friends witnessed the ceremony.
Miss Martha Hilvers, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Elmer Allemeier, brother of the groom was
groomsman. Little Amelia Hilvers was flower girl.
The bride’s gown was of white satin-faced crepe fashioned in drape effect and trimmed in silk lace and
rhinestones. Her veil of tulle was arranged in cap effect and trimmed in pearls and orange blossoms. She wore
white kid slippers, white hose and carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses.
The bridesmaid was attired in a gown of coral Elizabeth crepe made with a circular skirt and trimmed in
rhinestones. Her veil of tulle was a bandeau of leaves of pastel shades and coral tulle. She wore blonde slippers
and hose and carried an arm bouquet of Ophelia roses.
The little flower girl wore a frock of orchid crepe de Chine over pink and trimmed with ruffles of tan lace and
bows of satin ribbon. She carried a basket of pink roses.
A wedding dinner and reception took place at noon at the home of the bride's parents the immediate families
and a few friends being present. A color scheme of pink, white and orchid was used in decorating the home.
Waitresses were Misses Loretta and Clara Hilvers, Ladonna Rayman Elizabeth Koester, Mathilda Hoersten and
Emma Ricker.
Mr. and Mrs. Allemeier left during the course of the day on a honeymoon to Toledo, points in Michigan and,
other places, making the trip by motor.
They will make their home with the groom’s parents upon their return. The newly married pair have a host of
friends to wish them happiness.

A very pretty October wedding was solemnized in the Immaculate Conception church at Ottoville Tuesday
morning at 8:30 o'clock when Miss Veronica Liebrecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Liebrecht east of Ottoville
became the bride of Andrew Brickner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brickner, southwest of Ottoville. Rev. Fr. J. S.
Arnoldi performed the double ring ceremony and also intoned the nuptial mass in the presence of a host of
relatives and friends.
Miss Elizabeth Kehres, of this city, cousin of the groom was bridesmaid and Frank Liebrecht, brother of the
bride, was best man.
The bride was attired in a handsome gown of white satin-faced crepe fashioned with a full skirt trimmed in
lace and pearls. She wore a tulle veil bound in satin ribbon and arranged in bridal cape effect with pearls and
rhinestones. She wore silver slippers and hose and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses and baby breath.
The bridesmaid was attired in a dainty frock of peach colored silk crepe arranged in a becoming style with a full
skirt of shadow lace to correspond with the dress. She wore black slippers with gray hose and a large black velvet
hat. She carried an arm bouquet of Ophelia and tea roses.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Fischbach, close friends of the bride. A
reception was held at the home of the bride's parents about eighty-five guests being in attendance. The home
was decorated in a color scheme of white, peach and blue. The following assisted in serving the dinner, Misses
Frances and Barbara Heitmeyer, Catherine and Wilhemine Pohl, Lauretta Schulte, Anna Hohlbein, and Catharine
and Mary Horstman.
Mr. and Mrs. Brickner will reside on a farm two miles east of Ottoville.
The following guests were present from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kerhres, and daughter, Gene, Mrs.
Margaret Brickner, Mrs. Anna Brickner, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brickner, of, Delphos, Clifford Snyder, Miss Lena
