Joseph J. Miller
      Joseph J. Miller, 79, retired farmer of Kalida, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday in St. Rita’s Medical Center,
Lima, following and extended illness.
      Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida, with Rev.
Herbert Eilerman officiating. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
      The son of Frank H. and Mary (Moritz) Miller, he was born May 30, 1899. He married Amelia Dickman on
May 30, 1923, in Ottoville and she died in September 1931.
      Survivors include a son, Jerome H. Miller, Kalida; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond A. (Dorothy) Cross,
Delphos; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Wehri, Mrs. Rose Ricker, both of Kalida; Mrs.
Anthony (Lena) Dickman, Mrs. John (Barbara) Landwehr, both of Ottoville; two brothers, Otto, Columbus
Grove; Isadore, Ottoville. A son Cletus died in 1931 and a brother, Frank, is also deceased.
      Mr. Miller was a member of St.  Michael’s Catholic Church, Kalida.
      Visitation is at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp Funeral Home, Ottoville. Parish Wake services will be at 8 p.m.
this evening, Wednesday in the funeral home.

Veronica J. Kehres
      Veronica J. Kehres, 66, Ottoville, died Saturday afternoon at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
      She was born in Glandorf to John and Helene Kramer Maenle on June 11, 1912. She married Victor J.
Kehres, who survives.
      Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Joann) Eickholt, and Mrs. John (Marge) Miller, both of
Ft. Jennings; three sons, Gilbert Kehres, Ottoville; Mike Kehres, Lima; Leonard (Butch) Kehres, Cloverdale;
13 grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert Maenle, Ft. Jennings, and two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Rita) Birkemeier, Kalida;
and Mrs. Kie (Mildred) Reynolds, Melbourne Beach, Fla.
      Mrs. Kehres was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Alter Rosary Society.
      Mass of the Resurrection was held Tuesday morning with the Rev. Louis Huffman officiating. Mrs. Kehres
was buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Henry Bensman
      Henry Bensman, 83, Celina, died at his residence Monday evening, February 12.
      He was born to J. H. and Clementine (Lehmkuhl) Bensman on March 24, 1895 in Ottoville. On May 21,
1919, he married Cornelia Ellerbrock and she died in 1965. he later married Elizabeth Bushor in 1967 and
she preceded him in death in 1975.
      Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Henrietta) DuPries, Augusta, Ga.; Mra. Arthur (Oney) Krich,
Celina; Mrs. Daniel W. (Elizabeth) Kendall, Lima; and Mrs. Bill (Roseann) Chrisman, Celina; a son, Walter, St.
Mary’s’; a step-son, Rudy Bushor, Celina; two sisters, Mrs. Ferd (Clementine) Kahle and Sister Mary
Christine Bensman, Melbourne, Ky.; two brothers, Steve, Dayton; Ralph, Celina; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-
grandchildren.
      Mr. Bensman was a retired grain elevator worker. He was a member of Celina Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He served as secretary of the Celina Knights of Columbus for
over 30 years. He was also building supervisor, a member of Celina Eagles Lodge 1291 and Senior Citizens
of Mercer County.
      Funeral services were held Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.

Vincent H. Eickholt
      Vincent H. Eickholt, 57, Cloverdale, died shortly after noon on Saturday at St. Rita’s Medical Center,
Lima.
      He was born December 1, 1921, in Ottoville to John C. and Mary Matilda Miller Eickholt. His mother
survives in Ottoville. He married Delores Dickman on July 24, 1948, and she also survives.
      Other survivors include three sons; Ronald, Belle Center; Vincent (Doc) Jr., and Edwin, both of Ft.
Jennings; five daughters, Lois Eickholt, Ft. Jennings; Mrs. Mike (Ann) Dick, Lima; Mrs. Tom (Carol) Craig,
Delphos; Gerilyn and Theresa Eickholt, both at home; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph, Lima;
Roman and Orville, both of Cloverdale; three sisters, Mrs. Bill (Agnes) Ulrich, Delphos; Mrs. Ralph (Kathryn)
Altenburger, Lima; Mrs. Arnold (Calesta) Miller, Landeck.
      Mr. Eickholt was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville, the church’s Holy Name
Society and VFW Post 3740. He was a carpenter for Dan Eickholt Construction, Elida.
      Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated at the Mass of Resurrection Tuesday morning in the church. Mr. Eickholt
was buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Eleanor A. Kreitemeyer
      Eleanor A. Kreitemeyer, 70, Cloverdale, died at her home Friday afternoon.
      She was born in Cloverdale to Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Jerwers) Siefer on January 6, 1909. She
married Frank H. Kreitemeyer, and he survives.
      Other survivors include two sons, Oscar, at home; Joseph, Porcupine Plains, Saskatchewan, Canada; six
grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Siefer, Columbus Grove; and Henry Siefer, Windsor, Calif.; and two
sisters, Mrs. Albert (Theresa) Schieber, Miller City; Mrs. Lou (Elsie) Herendeen, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
      Mrs. Kreitemeyer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, and the Alter
Rosary Society.
      Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated at the Mass of the Resurrection held at Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church, Ottoville, Monday morning. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Emelia Mary Deitering
      Emelia M. (Millie) Deitering, 78, Ottoville, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in Lima St. Rita’s Medical Center.
      She was born in Ottoville on October 25, 1900, to Joseph and Josephine (Miller) Brickner. She married
Albert J. Deitering on March 4, 1924, and he died September 9, 1969.
      Surviving are two brothers, George and Leo Brickner, Ottoville. Four brothers and two sisters are
deceased.
      Mrs. Deitering was a retired employee of the DWG Cigar Corp., Lima. She was a member of the
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville and its Alter Rosary Society.
      Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church with Rev. Roger Bonifas
officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp Funeral Home in Ottoville where parish wake services will
be at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Emma E. Klima
      Emma E. Klima, 91, Ottoville, died at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Home for the Aged in Tiffin.
      She was born August 6, 1887, in Ottoville, the daughter of Wilhelm and Katherine (Karsting) Martin. She
married Wenzel K. Klima, on May 5, 1909, and he died August 23, 1964.
      Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Bertha) Spieles, and Mrs. Louis (Sally) Klausing, both of
Delphos; and Mrs. Gene (Catherine) Simmons, Lima; three sons, Anthony, Ottawa; Vincent, Delphos; and
Leonard, Ottoville; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. A son, William is deceased, and two
brothers, Henry and George Martin.
      She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Alter Rosary Society, Ottoville
Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and a former member of the Ottoville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
      Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial was in the
church cemetery.

Albert F. Ernst
      Albert F. Ernst, route 1, Delphos, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday. He was 63.
      Mr. Ernst was born in Ottoville on October 1, 1915 to Henry and Johanna (Baumgarte) Ernst, and
married Gertrude Knebel on August 13, 1948.
      Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Rita) Schnipke, Ottoville; threestep-children, James
Knebel, Delphos; Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Fisher, Freeport, Tex.; and Mrs. Roger (Joan) Mason, Landeck;
10 grandchildren; brothers, Paul, Karl, Jerry, Syl, and Eugene, all of Delphos; Francis, Coldwater, Mich.;
Arthur, Coldwater, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. David (Coletta) Gray, and Mrs. Gerald (Annabelle) Saum,
both of Ft. Jennings, and Mrs. James (Eileen) Wilcox, Delphos.
      Mr. Ernst was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck and the Fraternal Order of
Eagles of Delphos. He was a retried employee of Delphos Bending Co.
      Services were in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Thomas Geiring officiating. Burial was made in
the church cemetery.

Joseph B. Schulte
      Joseph B. Schulte, 80, route 1, Ottawa, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Putnam County Nursing
Home, Ottawa.
      He was born in Ottoville on November 24, 1898, the son of Anthony and Mary (Beining) Schulte. He
married Catherine A. Drerup on February 18, 1925 and she survives.
      Also surviving are four sons, Alvin, Edward, Wilfrid, all of route 1, Ottawa; Thomas, route 1, Pandora; six
daughters, Mrs. Donald (Martha) Doepker, North Canton; Mrs. Scott (Dolores) Boyer, Deshler; Mrs. Henry
(Florence) Selhorst, Columbus Grove; Mrs. George (Eleanor) Seifried, Toledo; Mrs. William (Alice) Balas,
Fairview Park; Mrs. Melvin (Esther) Schroeder, Ottawa; three brothers, Ben, Ottawa; Frank and Steven, both
of Kalida; two sisters, Agnes Schulte; Kalida; Mrs. Urban (Marie) Lammers, Leipsic; 50 grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; and five step-granchildren.
      A retired farmer, Mr. Schulte was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
      Rev. John Herber officiated at the funeral mass Saturday morning in the church. Burial was in the church
cemetery.
      Memorial may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul School or Putnam County Nursing Home.

Marion Blymyer
      Marion (Bud) Blymyer, 69, route 1, Cloverdale, died Saturday morning in Sarah Jane Geriatric Center,
Delphos.
      He was born in Kalida, August 7, 1909, the son of William and Mayme (Barto) Blymyer. He married Ethel
Lowery and she died in 1961. He later married Margaret Turnwald and she survives.
      Other survivors include two sons, William, Elida; and Ronald, Delphos; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Little,
Winslow, Ariz.; two step-sons, Jerome and Gary Turnwald, both of Ottoville; two sisters, Mrs. Homer
(Genevieve) Williams, and Mrs. Carlyle (Donna) Arthur, both of Gomer; nine grandchildren; and 14 step-
grandchildren.
      A retired farmer, he was a also retired from the Ohio Steel Foundry.
      He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the parish council and the
25-year club at the Ohio Steel Foundry.
      Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the church. Burial was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery,
Delphos.

Joseph G. Honigford
      Joseph G. Honigford, 74, route 66, Cloverdale, died at 9:05 P.M. Monday in St. Rita's Medical Center,
Lima. He was born in Ottoville March 6, 1905 to John and Anna (Eberle) Honigford. He married Ethal Schmitt
in Ottoville August 27, 1929 and she survives.
      Also surviving are two sons, Robert, Columbus Grove; and Thomas, Lima; one daughter, Mrs. Robert
(Patricia) Ramirez, Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Ben and Gilbert, both of Ottoville; two
sisters, Mrs. Mary Weber, Ottoville; Mrs. Sabina Miller Columbus Grove; two brothers, John and Clem are
deceased.
      An assemblyman at Fruehauf Corp., Delphos, before retirement, he was a member of the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
      Rev. Roger Bonifas will officiate at a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in the church. Burial
will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Ottoville.
      Friends may call at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp Funeral Home, Ottoville after 2 P.M. Wednesday, where the
parish wake service will be at 8 P.M.

Camille Burghard
      Camille Burghard, 89, formerly of Ottoville, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday at her daughter’s residence in
Ottawa after a short illness.
      She was born December 9, 1889, in Ottoville. She married Walter Burghard in 1922 and he died in 1947.
      Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Constance) Odenweller, Ottawa; six grandchildren; and 18
great-grandchildren.
      Mrs. Burghard was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
      Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated at a Mass of Resurrection Wednesday morning in the church. Burial was
made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Gilbert W. Herman
      Gilbert W. Herman, 79, Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale, died at the facility 7 a.m. Friday
morning.
      He was born May 23, 1900, in Ottoville to Leo and Philomena Herman.
      Survivors include a brother, Edwin, Ottoville; a sister Gertrude Herman is deceased.
      Mr. Herman was a retired farmer. He belonged to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville
and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
      The Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated at a Mass of Resurrection Monday morning in the church. Burial was
in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Albert A. Plescher
      Albert A. Plescher, 80, route 1, Cloverdale, died at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, shortly after 8:30 a.
m. Friday.
      He was born in Van Wert County, August 17, 1898, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Kuhlanick)
Plescher. He married Treva (Hammona) Osenga, in August, 1938, and she survives.
      Other survivors include a step-son, Joseph, Cloverdale; a step-daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Wooton,
Lima; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Amelia Bechtel, Lima; Josephine Brandehoff,
Delphos; two brothers, G. J. Plescher, Cleveland; Leo Plescher, Dos Palos, Calif.
      A Monterey Township trustee for ten years, Mr. Plescher was a retired farmer. He was a member of
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and the Holy Name Society of the church.
      The Rev. Roger Bonifas officiated at funeral services Monday afternoon in the church. Burial was in St.
Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.
      Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association and Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville.

Gilbert B. Honigford
      Gilbert B. Honigford, 69, Ottoville, died at 4:30 A.M. at his home.
      He was born April 21, 1910, in Ottoville, the son of John and Anna (Eberle) Honigford. He married the
former Verna R. Hull on December 17, 1958, and she survives.
      He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Fredrick (Eleanor) Sullivan and Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Thayer, both of
Bowling Green; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Ben Honigford
of Ottoville and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Weber of Ottoville and Mrs. Otto (Sabina) Miller of Columbus
Grove.
      Mr. Honigford was the retired owner and operator of the Northside Inn Restaurant. He was a member of
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
      Mass of the Resurrection was held Saturday at the church with Rev. Roger Bonifas officiating. Burial was
at St. Mary's cemetery.

Anthony H. Dickman
      Anthony H. Dickman, 85, Ottoville, died at 6:10 p.m. last Friday at Sarah Jane Geriatric Center of
Delphos.
      He was born on October 15, 1893 in Ottoville, the son of William and Anna (Spielbrink) Dickman. On
March 1, 1927, he married the former Magdalena Miller and she survives.
      Also surviving are four sons, Elmer F., Delphos; Virgil, of Middle Point; Paul, of Lima; Robert, of Crystal
Falls, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Horstman and Mrs. Viola Lambert, both of Ottoville. He had 16
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sons, Arthur and Roger are deceased.
      Mr. Dickman was a retired employee of the Delphos Bending Company. He was a member of the
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and also was a member of the Ottoville VFW.
      Services were held Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville, the Rev. Roger Bonifas
officiating. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville.

Joseph W. Bedink
      Joseph W. Bedink, 71, Ottoville, died at 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
      He was born on November 16, 1907, at Ottoville to Nicholas and Theresa (Ricker) Bedink. He married
Alma Koetter on November 23, 1935 and she survives.
      Also surviving are one son, Gary Bedink, Elida; one grandchild; two step-grandchildren; one great-
grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Gertrude) Brinkman, Ottoville; half sister, Mrs. Dora Looser, Paradise
Oaks, Cloverdale. Two brothers, Cornelius and Carl and one sister, Mrs. Mayme Weber are deceased.
      Mr. Bedink was the retired owner and operator of the Sinclair gas station in Ottoville.
      He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville where a Mass of
Resurrection was held Saturday with Rev. roger Bonifas officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery,
Ottoville.

Edwin A. Hilvers
      Edwin A. (Butch) Hilvers, 77, of Ft. Jennings died at 3:30 Thursday at the Sarah Jane Geriatric Center,
Delphos, following an extended illness.
      Mr. Hilvers was buried Monday in St. Mary’s Cemetery, following a 10:30 mass at the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, officiated by Rev. Roger Bonifas.
      A retired farmer, Mr. Hilvers was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Holy Name
Society.
      He was born February 18, 1902, in Ottoville, the son of Henry and Mary (Eickholt) Hilvers. On April 12,
1932, he married the fromer Whilomena M. Pohl, who survives.
      Also surviving are five daughters, Florence Fuerst, New Hampshire; Mrs. Julius (Martha) Brown,
Deerfield, Mich.; Mrs. Joe (Alberta) Kaslen, Skagway, Alaska; Mrs. Vincent (Mary Ann) Kehres, Delphos; and
Mrs. Ted (Norma) Burgei, Ottawa; 32 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Ruen, of
Ottoville; Mrs. Otmer (Clara) Smith, Columbus Grove; Regina Schweller, Delphos; and a brother, Alex Hilvers,
Ottawa.

Berndina Schimmoeller
      Funeral services were held last Thursday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Spencerville for Bernadine
Schimmoeller, 80, Delphos. Rev. Thomas Meiring officiated and burial was in St. John Cemetery, Delphos.
      Mrs. Schimmoeller died at 3 a.m. on Monday of last week at her home. She was was a native of Ottoville
where she was born May 30, 1899, to Bernard and Mary (Bohn) Honigfort. She married Charles
Schimmoeller November 15, 1921 and he died in 1966. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glen Siebeneck,
Kalida, a son Herbert, Lima; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Edward Honigfort,
Ottawa.

John Weber
      Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
Ottoville, for John Weber, 79, Ottoville. Father Roger Bonifas will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Ottoville.
      Mr. Weber died at 11 p.m. Sunday in St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
      He was born October 13, 1900 in Ottoville to Charles and Magdalena (Obringer) Weber. He never
married.
      Surviving are two brothers, Ralph, Glandorf; and Frank, Ecorse, Mich.; and one sister, Leona Rekart,
Southgate, Mich.
      He was a member of the Ottoville church, the Senior Citizens and worked for the Green Thumb in Ottawa.
      Visitation is underway at the Helmkamp-Brickner Funeral Home, Ottoville, where the parish wake
services will be at eight o’clock tonight, Wednesday.
